Why records instead of backtests

Placeholder body copy. Backtests answer one question: would this strategy have worked in the past. A live record answers a harder one: is it working right now, with real prices, real fills, and no benefit of hindsight. Bold text renders like this and is used sparingly for the sentence that carries the section. This paragraph exists to show default type color, size, and rhythm at reading width.

A second paragraph shows spacing between blocks. Every strategy on Portfolio Lab gets its own isolated paper account the day it launches, and the record accrues from that day forward with no edits and no resets. Placeholder copy continues to fill the measure so the designer can judge line length.

Inline links look like this link to a related post and carry the accent color with a soft underline. They are used for citations in running text and cross-references between posts.

A pulled quote or key claim sits in a blockquote. One or two sentences at most. It reads as the author pausing to underline something. (Placeholder.)

What the record cannot tell you

Subsections break long sections into scannable pieces. Placeholder copy noting that a live record is short by definition and that a strong six months proves discipline, not destiny.

• Bulleted lists use a small green square marker instead of a browser default disc.
• Each item is a full sentence or a short clause. Items can wrap to multiple lines and stay readable.
• Used for unordered points: caveats, feature lists, criteria.

How a paper account is provisioned

Numbered lists are for real sequences: setup steps, ordered processes. In guides this is the primary body element.

1. Placeholder step one. Each step gets a numbered chip so the reader can track progress through a setup flow.
2. Placeholder step two. Steps can run several lines and hold inline links or bold phrases without breaking the layout.
3. Placeholder step three. The chip style matches the app's step indicators for continuity.

compare them to my current positions. If markets are open, place market orders to
bring the account in line with the targets. Do not improvise stops or overrides.

Reading the numbers

Placeholder paragraph for the third section. Result-heavy content rides as inline images or custom HTML embeds when needed, not a template style. This section exists so the sticky contents rail has enough anchors to demonstrate scroll highlighting.
